Christian Nigerian-American doctor, artist, and author-illustrator from Atlanta.

Dr. Orezime Uyeh (or “Dr. Rezi”) is currently a pediatric resident physician. Before medicine, Dr. Rezi had a passion for the visual arts, mainly drawing portraits of people. Because she did not want to give up this passion, she combined her love for art, promoting diversity, and storytelling by creating an art page on Instagram called “TheArtsyMD” (previously known as Rezi Doodles). On this page, she initiated a well-received art campaign called “#MedCrushMondays,” a series of interviews and portraits of healthcare providers and student health professionals who are underrepresented in the medical field. Dr. Rezi is committed to using her creative talent to increase representation in healthcare. This commitment has led her to create comics, publish her children's book Girls for Medicine, and launch this online art store.
